As you may know by now, regular classes will resume on Nov. 4, 2013 in line with the provincial government, local government, and DepEd advisories. (Please see previous announcements).
Meanwhile, to continue the teaching, learning, and assessment processes, we will be sending home ALL assessments of Understanding and Performance/Product. This way, with the assistance/support of the parents, siblings or guardians, students may be able to start, continue, and/or finish them at home. We are sending the documents ready for downloading through this email and the school’s website. (Please see attachments) For those visiting the website, the link to the web page is as follows:
This is not something new. We’ve done something similar in the past and we will continue to do such initiatives as part of our vision to have a Virtual Campus. Furthermore, other schools are currently adopting comparable distance learning strategies since the earthquake struck last week to keep up with missed school work.
Our office has been open since Oct. 21 and the staff is available to assist you in your queries. The teachers may be contacted through their respective email addresses if you want to communicate with them directly.
Allowing the students to work at home has at least 2 advantages. 1) Their learning is not hampered by the suspension of classes and 2) the school might not need to extend for too long in summer.
Please note that we do not expect that students will be able to accomplish everything at home and we do not wish to put unnecessary burden on the parents or guardians. But in times like these, we all need to make adjustments for the greater good. The due dates are just there as a guide. We will definitely follow through once classes resume.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for any of your inquiries.
