On behalf of DUYAN Learning Center-Mactan Arts Academy, I would like to welcome you to another school year! It’s always good to see new and familiar faces!

This past summer, the admin, teachers and staff have been busy making sure that improvements are planned out and executed well in our campuses.  Repairs and renovations have been coming along smoothly.  The most obvious improvements are the painting jobs in both campuses.

Furthermore, we had an intensive review and training regarding DUYAN’s Philosophies and Methodologies as well as DepEd’s pertinent policies and guidelines including “Child Protection Policy” and “Anti-bullying policy” to name a few, with our New and Returning teachers.  In our own capacity, we also did Statistical Analyses of our Students’ Performance from Preschool to Junior High School based on the results of last school year’s assessments.

We continue to uphold and affirm the following education trends and concepts that define what DUYAN is all about:

• Multiple Intelligences
• Play-based teaching and learning
• EQ & IQ Development
• Localization and Contextualization
• Science and Art Development, and
• Bible-based Values Education and Bible/Values Ed Integration in all subjects

We continue our collaboration with EonBotz Robotics in expanding our ICT curriculum to include Robotics for Grades 1 to 10.

We look forward to seeing you in our upcoming events like the Parent Orientation, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Pajama Night, School Production, Family Day, and more!  We will be sending you updates thru your child’s communication notebook, but please feel free to set up an appointment so we may personally address your questions and concerns. We in DUYAN value our threefold partnership (parents, students, teachers/school) to ensure your child’s success and happiness.  We also encourage you to like and follow our FaceBook, Twitter, and Website accounts as those are our means of spreading important announcements to the masses.
