After-School Clubs, Tutorials, and Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) SY24-25

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are pleased to inform you that we will continue to offer after-school clubs, tutorials, and other Extra Curricular Activities (ECA). Please find the details below.

DUYAN After School Clubs, Tutorials, and Extra Curricular Activities (ECA)

Objectives:

To broaden the students’ opportunities to learn by providing lessons and activities that are not offered, fully or partially, in the regular curriculum
To provide the students with venues wherein they can practice what they learn in the classroom
To foster community spirit
To provide additional and structured physical, mental, and social activities for the children

Guidelines:

Joining an after-school club or activity is optional. A student may join a maximum of 3 clubs.
These activities are open to Duyan and Non-Duyan students.
The club fee should be paid in full upon enrollment before a child can join a club.
The costs listed here are not covered by any of the fees paid at the start of the school year.
Club fees may or may not be inclusive of the materials required by the club (Ex. volleyball, basketball, guitar, clear book, violin, science materials, cooking ingredients), therefore, additional materials or payments might be required.
The minimum number of students required by a club should be met; otherwise, the club will be dissolved.
A student enrolled in a club should attend regularly. No make-up session/s will be provided to any student who has been late or absent except for valid reasons upon approval by the administration.
A student may not withdraw from a club once payment has been made except for valid reasons upon approval by the administration.
Most clubs have a culminating activity i.e. recital, exhibit, competition, etc.
A student may not be allowed to join a performance, exhibit, or competition related to a club if the teacher finds that his/her level of skill does not meet the standards yet.
To bus riders, please consider your bus schedules when choosing clubs as they have already been set. Changes in bus schedules may not be accommodated.
